- I have a Zoom 14.4k modem. I have heard that a 14.4 modem should be able
- to download at a maximum rate of 1.8k per second. I am lucky to get 1.2k
- out of it. Most of the time, it averages about 0.5k per second. Why is
- this modem so slow?
- Also, I am planning to get a new modem, either a 28.8 or a 33.6. What
- are some reliable modems with a good (and consistent) data transfer rate?
